Position Description

ChristianaCare is currently seeking full-time Nurse Practitioner candidates to join our Emergency Medicine team providing care at ChristianaCare's four state-of-the-art Emergency Departments in Delaware and Maryland.

Emergency Medicine NPs will provide exceptional care to patients in our four ED locations. Full time NP opportunities available; 32 hours per week, 1,504 minimum work hours per year.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Advance Practice Nursing and Certification as an Emergency Nurse Practioner (ENP), -OR- Dual Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and an Emergency Nurse Practtiioner (ENP), -OR- Dual Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP or ACNP) and an Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) and Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC) from either the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), -OR- certification as an FNP who demonstrates eligibility for and the intent to, sit for the ENP exam within one year of hire date.  All certifications must be current.
  • Must have at least 3000 hours of emergency medicine (EM) APRN experience and demonstrate ENP competencies of physician assessment, differential diagnosis, and overall management that is unique to this population.
  • Maintain relevant state medical licenses
  • Demonstrated excellence in patient care
  • Member in good standing of relevant ChristianaCare Medical/Dental Staff
  • Licensure for Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Register Nurse as set forth by the Delaware and Maryland Board of Nursing
  • ACLS
  • ATLS preferred
