TWO Chapters for the Delaware Coalition of Nurse Practitioners
The Delaware Coalition of Nurse Practitioners Board of Directors voted to establish Northern and Southern chapters of DCNP. With members living and working in all parts of Delaware and bordering states, the board noted only those in the Wilmington area were attending monthly educational meetings and participating in our activities. DCNP represents all NPs in Delaware for policy and practice recommendations so the board decided to find a way members living / working downstate could benefit from their membership.
With the help of NPs Suzette Flores and Emily Heishmann, who will lead this group, the DCNP Southern chapter will hold its inaugural meeting April 26 at 5:30 p.m (see announcement and sign up) . DCNP state president Susan Conaty-Buck and AANP state representative Sharon Baptiste Brown will attend this kick-off meeting and welcome existing members and prospective members to DCNP's latest opportunity to celebrate the work of NPs and strengthen our position as providers of healthcare for all Delawarians.
If you live or work downstate, I hope you will attend this exciting evening breaking ground (figuratively) on DCNP's work to provide quality benefits to our members. If you can't attend the meeting, please get in touch with Suzette and Emily to get going with this new chapter.
Best wishes to all and thanks for being a DCNP member!
