Happy Nurse Practitioner Week
Dear DE Nurse Practitioners,
Nurse practitioners (NPs) are the providers of choice for millions of Americans. Currently, there are over 355,000 licensed NPs in the United States providing patient- centered care in a variety of healthcare settings including independent practice and among underserved populations. NPs are licensed to evaluate patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose, and treat acute, episodic, and chronic conditions. NPs also focus on health promotion and disease prevention for their patients and communities. November 13-November 19, 2022 is National Nurse Practitioner Week, a time designated to officially acknowledge with gratitude the exceptional care NPs provide and celebrate their contributions to the health and well-being of the United States population.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to take this opportunity to send best wishes to all members of the Delaware Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and to all nurse practitioners and nurse practitioner students in Delaware during this National Nurse Practitioner Week, November 13-November 19, 2022. Thank you for all your hard work and all that you do every day to improve the health and safety of Delaware citizens. Your efforts and service are valued and much appreciated.
