2023 Election for Open Positions on DCNP Board of Directors- Please Vote As Soon As Possible

Elections for positions on the DCNP Board of Directors opened on February 5, 2023 and will close on February 22, 2023. The open positions for this election cycle are for Secretary and Northern Chapter Coordinator. Roles and responsibilities for these positions can be found in the Bylaws section under the tab "About Us" on the landing page of the DCNP website.
All current active members in good standing in the Full Member, Student Member and Retired Member membership tiers of the DCNP are eligible to vote. Those persons whose membership expires after February 5, 2023, are not eligible to vote.
DCNP members whose membership is active as of February 5, 2023 are eligible to enter a write in candidate on the ballot. DCNP members whose membership expires after February 5, 2023, are not eligible to enter the name of a write in candidate.
Candidates will be notified of the election results in early March 2023. Election results will be announced to the DCNP general membership at the Annual Business Meeting to be held on March 16, 2023 at Roma Restaurant, Dover, Delaware.
The following DCNP members have entered their names as candidates for the open positions on the DCNP Board of Directors:
Brett Hollis, DNP, MBA, APRN, AGPCNP-BC
Dr. Hollis has been working as a nurse practitioner in the Primary Care Clinic at Wilmington, Delaware Veterans Affairs Medical Center since 2017. He is an active and valued member of the Primary Care team providing primary care services to veterans. In addition to his board certification as an Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner he is also certified in Battlefield Acupuncture and Clinical Hypnotherapy. Dr Hollis also participates in a national VA program in which he provides his clinic skills and experience to understaffed VA medical centers during crisis periods, such as during the Covid-19 pandemic, to ensure veterans continue to receive quality care. Dr. Hollis received his DNP degree in 2016 from Brandman University, his MBA from Western International University in 2006 and his BSN from Washington Adventist University in 1985. Dr. Hollis’s leadership philosophy is to “Lead from the front”.
Emmanuella Nuenna Olaiya, DNP, APRN-NP, WHNP-BC
Dr. Olaiya is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years’ experience. Dr. Olaiya currently works for Christian Care Health System in the Middletown East Women’s Health Center in Middletown, Delaware and in the Center for Women’s Wellness in Newark, Delaware. Dr. Olaiya is passionate about providing quality obstetric and gynecologic care to women. Dr. Olaiya received her DNP degree from Maryville University in 2021, her MSN from Drexel University in 2012 and her BSN from Cedar Crest College in 2006. Dr. Olaiya describes herself as energetic and a highly motivated team player.
